Welcome to my Web Site. My name is Sam Metz and I live in Jackson, TN. I have been active in woodworking nearly all my life. In the past, woodworking was my vocation but in recent years, it is only a hobby. For the most parts, I do cabinetmaking but also try my hand in intarsia, marquetry, and woodturning. My favorite past time at the present is wood carving. This is something I took up several years ago, after viewing a Public Television series with Rick Butz. I do mostly in-the-round caricature carving.
